Part 4. Drug dealers - A model of entrepreneurial excellence?

By now, in figurative terms...
'The head must seem as tho' it's
rammed up the proverbial backside'.

Well! Just think about all the new systems they have had to learn, suddenly they can do all the things we failed to teach them in school

Creative manufacturing

To achieve maximum profitability, they understand that more training may be required! Believe it or not, this revolutionary approach can help create an interest in science – chemistry to be precise. By knowing the product potential and understanding its limitations the science of creative manufacturing can open new and diverse markets that target a diverse variety of consumers with varied budgets. This risk adverse strategy always delivers a greater yield, capitalises on profits, builds a greater stock level and draws new investors.

The science is easy to do! Certain additives can replace the original product without the consumer realising, therefore increasing weight and increasing market share. It’s not surprising to see profits increase at such a speed that a calculator becomes an important tool. The associated benefit of all this sudden entrepreneurial activity is not merely financial, the rewards are diverse. The one thing that seemed impossible to grasp when at school – becomes second nature.

Mathematics! Pah! A doddle...  When calculations are required immediately, weight, mass, volume and packaging is an intrinsic part of the business – Mathematical wizardry comes naturally. We must take in to account that previously these creative nomads may have bought similar products from reputable distributors, paid the advertised market price, walked away believing that their trusted and regular supplier, to whom a fierce loyalty has always been afforded would never be underhand or disloyal to a valued customer. As I mentioned in an earlier passage – This entrepreneurial revolution has a few foibles – nothing is perfect! False loyalty is a basic business tactic that happens almost without question, it is as a by-product of their new found wealth and position in the community.

Conclusion
So! with 2 more blog sections to write before I draw this series to a close, I would like to hear back from you. How would you address the issues? In the concluding parts 5 and 6, I will listen to your feedback, agree/disagree and comment.

Finally, I will attempt to offer some of my own solutions. I fully expect certain people to dismiss them, and it will take a brave-hearted, thick skinned person to implement some of my suggestions.

I will also challenge quite a few people to have a look from the other side of the fence, such as academically-bent professorial types, publicly funded bodies, charitable operations and corporate business. Whether these organisations are already doing some 'good-stuff' or not! It will take a huge leap, over a blindingly large fence to review practices, motivation's and unlearn in order to relearn....

  1. Hi mate

Thanks for sending me details. Sounds like what our mutual friends are attempting to do, in fact I'm aware In Yer Face have a drama about this very subject based around a drug dealer trying to get money from the Dragons Den!

The subject reminded me of an article in Freakonmics that I read a while back - check it out google chapter 3 why crack dealers still live with their Moms

Great to see you the other day hope we can get a coffee sometime soon
